Delegates of the council
Young people “are like swifts, they go towards spring”, (by prof. Giorgio La Pira), even taken up by Pope Francis: “today we need young people to be prophets of Hope, holiness, who are not afraid to get their hands dirty, to work and to go on”.
Each Episcopal Conference and Synod of the Eastern Catholic Churches in the Mediterranean area has appointed at least one young person (aged 18 to 28), to be part of the Council for a four-year term.
